Gas prices decline 7 cents in Virginia

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports gasoline prices decline 7 cents in Virginia over past month

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Gasoline prices in Virginia have fallen by an average of seven cents per gallon since last month.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports that the average price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Virginia was $3.17 Tuesday. That's down from $3.24 a month ago.

Virginians are paying 17 cents less than the national average. AAA Mid-Atlantic spokeswoman Martha Mitchell Meade says prices are expected to continue to decline because of sufficient supplies, weaker demand, more affordable winter-blend gasoline and lower crude oil prices.
