Jamestown Road in JCC reopens following gas leak

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A gas leak on Jamestown Road near Humelsine Parkway (Route 199) had shut down all lanes of the road Thursday afternoon as emergency personnel are on the scene addressing it, James City County Police said.

Police said the area was going to be shut down for several hours, and advised drivers to use John Tyler Highway (Route 5) — Ironbound Road. That area is just outside the Williamsburg city limits. The area has since reopened.
