The Garage Dispensary now open
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — After applying for a three-month extension, The Garage Dispensary located just steps away from Main Street is now open.
Craton Edwards, a co-owner of The Garage Dispensary, talked with WesternSlopeNow about winning the city’s lottery and the application process that allowed him to open his business.
“After winning the drawing and being one of the lucky 10 licensees to get that drawing… we had then put in a lot of effort to try and create not only get a space that’s good and very customer-focused but also a space that’s very compliance-focused as well.”
Craton was one of six cannabis lotto owners to ask the city for an extension and was the first to open its doors.
Craton hopes his customers will appreciate the effort it took to get here and the great attention to detail to make it unique.
“I would consider us to be a very curated experience. We went through and tested, what I would consider, is thousands of products within the industry. We went and looked at a lot of different dispensaries within the industry. We tried to create an experience here that may not have the widest variety of products but what we think has products that have intent on our menu. So, there’s a reason for each one to be in the place that they are, and that’s what we want to provide to customers.”
The Garage Dispensary will hold its official grand opening on April 20.
