Gainesville ISD recognizes staff, teachers

Apr. 30—Throughout the year, Gainesville ISD selects teachers and employees of

the month From September — March, campus administration celebrated one classroom teacher and one non-classroom employee at their campus. All of these individuals were then eligible to be the Campus Teacher/Employee of the Year. Earlier this month, all campus staff were asked to vote for their campus teacher and employee of the year. The staff members Superintendent DesMontes Stewart visited with winners last week:

—Gainesville HS: Teacher Chris Lewis; Employee Lisa Lawson

—Gainesville Junior High: Teacher Jeremy Thomas; Employee Beverly Reyes

—Gainesville Intermediate: Teacher Donicio Trujillo; Employee Kelli Bond

—Chalmers Elemantary: Teacher Lori Nixon; Employee Jacqueline Reyes

—Edison Elementary: Teacher Beth Dunning; Employee Marjorie Koval

The district's 2024 Elementary Teacher, Secondary Teacher, and Employee of the Year selection will be announced at the GISD End-of-Year Staff Celebration on May 31.
