Giffords is no stranger to the grief caused by a random act of violence, She retired from politics last year after her horrific shooting by Jared Loughner. Now that her former seat in the House has been won by her hand-picked successor, she's free to focus solely on her own road to recovery. Thankfully, she's using that time to help these people, too.
