University System of Georgia names new vice chancellor of economic development
ATLANTA (AP) -- The University System of Georgia has selected a new Vice Chancellor for economic development.
Officials Wednesday announced Mark F. Lytle has been named as the new Vice Chancellor for economic development. Lytle is the division director for the Georgia Centers of Innovation — a strategic business support program run by the state Department of Economic Development.
Officials say Lytle will be responsible for establishing short and long-range economic development goals for the university system. Officials say Lytle will also serve as the main liaison between the university system and business leaders, and the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
Lytle has been involved with the state Department of Economic Development since 2002 and has served in various leadership positions.
Lytle earned a bachelor's of science in architecture from Georgia Tech.
