Fundraiser to benefit family of Arvada man killed by suspected DUI driver

ARVADA, Colo. (KDVR) — A local nonprofit is organizing a fundraiser for a family who lost a loved one to a suspected drunk driver.

Hope, Connection and Community is hosting a charity dinner on Sunday for the Wolff family.

On Feb. 5, Kresten Wolff was picking up his children from school in Arvada. On the way home at West 64th Avenue and Lamar Street, the family vehicle was hit by another driver, who is suspected of driving under the influence.

Wolff was killed. His two children survived. The impact of the crash sent the Wolff vehicle into a nearby house.

“It just felt that there needed to be more to celebrate, remember his life and the impact that he had in Arvada,” said Julia Walker, founder of Hope, Connection and Community.
