Fulton County infant found deceased identified, investigation ongoing

FULTON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – Pennsylvania State Police say they have identified the infant found deceased in Fulton County last month.

State Police did not publicly release the infant’s identity or disclose a cause of death after the body was recovered at the intersection of South Second Street and Lincoln Way East on March 11 in McConnellsburg.

According to the Fulton County Coroner’s office, the infant was a Caucasian male with brown hair and blue eyes, weighed four pounds, and was seventeen inches long.

The coroner says it’s believed the baby was born less than 24 hours before being discovered and estimated to be between 36 and 37 weeks of gestational age at the time of birth.

Anyone who was driving in the area or has video of the area from March 11 is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg at 717-485-3131.
