Nokia’s Lumia 1020 will be unveiled during a press conference on Thursday and it is shaping up to be the most impressive camera phone you’ll never own. According to a report from UnleashThePhones.com, the new flagship Lumia handset will feature a 4.5-inch AMOLED display with WXGA resolution, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 32GB of internal storage (a 64GB model will reportedly launch as well), 2GB of RAM and a 41-megapixel camera with a xenon flash, optical image stabilization and six available lenses.

The 1020 sounds impressive indeed, but according to a report from Windows Phone Central, the handset will retail for a delusional $299.99 on contract at AT&T, or $699.99 off contract. This might be a fair price for a phone with such an amazing camera, but in a world where barely anyone is buying high-end Lumia phones at $99.99, the odds of Nokia finally breaking through with the Lumia 1020 are beyond slim.
