PENNSYLVANIA (WHTM) – The first day of spring is March 19 and with the warmer weather comes more fun events in Central Pennsylvania. Below is a list of the 2024 Easter and spring events for all ages being held in the Midstate.

Spring Events

Adams County

Third Annual Adams County Blossom Festival

  • When: April 27 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Where: National Apple Museum, 154 West Hanover Street, Biglerville, PA

  • Details: Free, carriage rides to the Orchards, face painting, bobbing for apples, wine tasting, food, live music, craft and artisan vendors and tours of the National Apple Museum

Spring Blossom Event

  • When: April 27, 10 a.m.

  • Where: Hollabaugh Bros., Inc. Fruit Farm and Market, 545 Carlisle Road, Biglerville, PA

  • Details: See apple blossoms and support local businesses, food

Cumberland County

11th Annual Downtown Carlisle Bunny Hop

  • When: April 6 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Where: Georgie Lou’s Retro Candy

  • Details: downtown-wide activity for children 12 and under, kids go to downtown businesses for treats, games and crafts, suggested $2 donation

Downtown Camp Hill Spring Fling

  • When: April 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Where: Market Street, Camp Hill

  • Details: shopping, dining, live music, yard games, spring beverages, kids’ entertainment and more

Community Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: Saturday, March 30 at 3 p.m.

  • Where: Trinity Lutheran Church (2000 Chestnut St., Camp Hill, PA 17011

  • Details: Easter egg hunt with divided age groups (0-4, K-2nd grade, 3rd-4th grade), Easter bunny visit, bring a canned good for Harrisburg Area Food Pantry and be entered into a raffle

abc27 SpringFest 2024

  • When:  May 4, 10:00am-7:00 pm

  • Where:  The grounds of Williams Grove Historical Steam Association in Mechanicsburg

  • 1 Steam Engine Hill, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

  • About: an outdoor event for all ages,  filled with exciting activities, music, food and fun including train rides, helicopter rides, face painting and children’s activities, dinosaur drive-thru, food trucks, abc27 talent and weather team meet and greet, and much more!

Dauphin County

Spring Wreath Workshop

  • When: March 16 at 8:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1:45 p.m

  • Where: Wildwood Park

  • Details: $25 per wreath, everything supplied, tea or coffee available

Spring Flower Walk

  • When: May 2 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Where: Detweiler Park

  • Details: walk in the meadows and forests of Detweiler Park, pre-registration required

Franklin County

Spring Fest 2024

  • When: May 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt 2024

  • When: March 23 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (5-years-old & under: 9 a.m., 6-9-year-olds: 10 a.m., 10-12-year-olds: 11 a.m.)

  • Where: 545 Long Lane, Gettysburg, PA 17325 (Fireman Pavillion at the Rec Park)

  • Details: Hosted by the Empower Martial Arts there will be an egg hun with prizes, food vendors, an Easter Bunny visit and a DJ. Free.

An Eisenhower Easter Egg Roll

  • When: March 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Where: Eisenhower National Historic Site

  • Details: Free, storytime, earn and decorate a wooden Easter egg to roll on the lawn

Easter Egg Hunt & Bunny Party

  • When: March 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Where: Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium

  • Details: Ages walking to 10-years-old, children can collect 20 eggs filled with prizes, registration required

Cumberland County

Linwood Estate 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: March 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

  • Where: Linwood Estate

  • Details: Kids 10 and under $20 (1 or under free), adults $25, egg hunt on the property with the Easter Bunny. Breakfast refreshments by Greystone Brewhouse

Lower Allen Township Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: March 23 (10 a.m. – 3-year-olds and younger, 10:20 a.m. – 4-6-year-olds, 10:40 a.m. – 7-10-year-olds)

  • Where: Lower Allen Community Park on Lisburn Road (Upper Pavilion: up to 3-year-olds, Keystone Pavilion: 4-6-year-olds, Lower Pavilion: 7-10-year-olds)

  • Details: Kids should bring their own baskets

Mechanicsburg Borough Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: March 23

  • Where: 1 Memorial Park Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 (Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Park)

  • Details: Gather next to new playground equipment before starting

Easter Tea in Wonderland

  • When: March 24

  • Where: The Willows At Ashcombe Mansion

  • Details: 2-hour reservation for a selection of treats and loose-leaf team, complimentary Champagne or a sparkling non-alcoholic equivalent, self-guided tours of the mansion, photo ops, White Rabbit and Alice in attendance

Scrambled Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: March 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (11:30 a.m. – 3-year-olds and younger, noon – 4-6-year-olds, 12:30 p.m. – 7-10-year-olds, 1 p.m. – 11-year-olds and older)

  • Where: New Kingston Fire Department. (277 N Locust Point Rd, New Kingstown, PA 17072)

  • Details: Cost $5 for ages 0-3, $10 for 4-year-olds and up. Prizes like LOL dolls, Star Wars items and more up for grabs. Proceeds benefit New Kingstown Fire Department.

Spring Fling & East Egg Hunt at Paulus

  • When: March 29 & April 6

  • Where: Paulus Farm Market

  • Details: Egg hunts, egg decorating, hayrides, animal visits and Easter Bunny. Cost $60

Community Easter Egg Hunt at Carlisle UMC

  • When: March 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Where: Carlisle United Methodist Church

  • Details: Crafts, games, snacks and hunts for kids in 5th grade and younger

Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt

  • When: March 30 at 10 a.m.

  • Where: Appalachian Brewing Company 1757 Grille

  • Details: Easter Brunch Buffet and Egg Hunt. Brunch costs $16 for adults and $8 for kids. Reservations required.

Meadowbrooke Gourds Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: April 20 at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

  • Where: Meadowbrooke Gourds

  • Details: $5 donation, 2,000 dyed gourd eggs with 21 prizes for each hunt

Capital City Mall Bunny Book Bash

  • When: March 9 – 30 (Bunny family photos), March 11 – 25 (Bunny pet photos) Bunny Book Bash Event is Saturday, March 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Easter Extravaganza 24′

Humane Pennsylvania 2nd Annual Egg Hunt for Pups
