Fuel tank maker Dongee America hiring 80 people for Auburn automotive plant
AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- An automotive supplier is hiring 80 people for a fuel tank plant in Auburn, Ala.
Donghee America Inc. will invest $48 million in a project announced Thursday by Gov. Robert Bentley's office.
Work began in March, and the 117,000-square-foot plant is supposed to be finished later this year.
Donghee America will produce fuel tanks for the nearby Hyundai and Kia car manufacturing plants.
Several key employees already are working, and the company says it will hire a large number of engineers.
