Frostburg man indicted on drug distribution charges

May 15—CUMBERLAND — A Frostburg man is awaiting trial in circuit court after being indicted by an Allegany County grand jury on narcotics possession and drug distribution charges, according to the Allegany County Sheriff's Office.

Joshua Evan Bookheimer, 32, was indicted on two charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances when he was served a bench warrant and indictment returned April 25. Related offenses were also included in the indictment, according to court records.

Bookheimer was arrested Monday and released Tuesday on his personal recognizance after appearing in a bond hearing before a circuit court judge. No trial date has been scheduled.
