Fringe costumes are all the rage in the ice dancing competition

Ice dancing is a fringe sport.

No, seriously, we mean that literally. There was a team wearing fringe everywhere you looked during Monday’s Olympic competition in PyeongChang.

This couple from the Ukraine started things off by wearing something from Paula Abdul’s closet during her days as a Laker Girl …

… while other competitors looked like they were paying tribute to late wrestlers (and fringe aficionados) “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Ultimate Warrior…

In between there was canary fringe, classy fringe … enough fringe that you wondered if there was a meeting at some point and everyone decided to wear the one thing that would make everyone take ice dancing less seriously than they already do.
