Fresno’s airport reaches record with passengers served in 2023

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Fresno Yosemite International Airport announced that it has reached a historic passenger volume served for its calendar year of 2023.

Airport officials say they have served over 2.4 million in the calendar year 2023, which represents a 12% increase compared to 2022, which served 2.1 million passengers.

In addition to strong passenger growth, construction on a major and historic terminal expansion is in the process to meet current and future travel demands for the Central Valley, airport officials said.

Airport officials say that the solid international passenger volumes continue to outpace prior years. In 2023, a total of 322,922 passengers traveled between Fresno Yosemite International Airport and Mexico, representing a nearly 4% increase compared to 2022.

“Our ongoing terminal expansion is crucial for accommodating the growing demand for domestic and international travel at Fresno Yosemite International Airport,” said Director of Aviation Henry Thompson. “We are committed to providing convenient travel experiences for our passengers while also supporting the additional economic growth of the region.”
