Freeform Releases Trailer for Bella Thorne’s ‘Famous in Love’ from ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Creator (WATCH)

As one show wraps, another debuts.

Just as Freeform broke the news that “Pretty Little Liars” will end after its seventh season, the network released a new trailer for Marlene King’s upcoming series “Famous In Love.”

Starring Bella Thorne, the newest show from the “Pretty Little Liars” creator will debut in April 2017, immediately after the Season 7B premiere of “PLL.” No specific premiere date for the shows has been announced.

“Famous In Love,” based on the book by Rebecca Serle, follows ordinary college student Paige — played by Bella Thorne — as she gets her big break after auditioning for the starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster. She must now navigate her new star-studded life and the highs and lows that come with being the new It Girl in town as well as balancing her college workload.

Thorne stars alongside Carter Jenkins (“The Following”), Charlie Depew (“The Amazing Spiderman”), Georgie Flores (“CSI”), Niki Koss (“My Stepdaughter”), Pepi Sonuga (“The Fosters”), Keith Powers (“Straight Outta Compton”) and Perrey Reeves (“Entourage”). King serves as executive producer along with Christopher Fife (“Revenge”), Miguel Arteta (“Getting On”) and Dan Farah (“Ready Player One”). Serle will serve as co-executive producer. Long Lake Media, Farah Films, Carmina Productions, Inc. and Warner Horizon Television will produce.

With “Pretty Little Liars” wrapping up, Freeform is hoping to find another hit and social phenomenon with “Famous In Love,” which will tap into both Thorne and King’s rabid fanbases. By launching the new series with the final season of “PLL,” the cable net is aiming to bring “Liars” viewers to the new show.
