Free paper shredding event held in Las Vegas this weekend
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Do you need some documents shredded? There’s a free paper shredding event happening this weekend.
The Better Business Bureau of Southern Nevada is hosting its 12th annual Secure Your ID event on Saturday, April 20. The event will be hosted from 9 a.m. to noon or until the truck fills up, whichever comes first.
It will be held at the BBB of Southern Nevada office located at 6040 South Jones Boulevard.
The BBB will accept up to 4 banker-sized boxes for free, with each additional box costing $10. According to BBB, this event will be for paper only, no electronics, trash, biohazard material, X-rays, binder clips, binders, etc., will be accepted.
The BBB will not dispose of boxes, the contents will be empty and the box will be returned.
Those who bring paper to be shredded will not be allowed to stay to watch the shredding process, as it could cause traffic backups.
The BBB asks that all participants remain in their vehicles and pop their trunks open so workers can remove the paperwork.
