Free car seat safety check to be held in Elizabethton Friday

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Carter County Sheriff’s Office will help parents ensure their children are safe in their vehicles at an event Friday.

For those who are unsure if their child is in the right car seat, a free car seat check will be held on Friday, March 22 from 1–3 p.m. The check will be at the Walmart in Elizabethton, located at 1001 Over Mountain Road.

Which schools will dismiss early or be closed for the April 8 solar eclipse and why?

Trained technicians will be available to ensure car seats are installed safely and used correctly.
