France has sent more than 2.6 billion euros ($2.8 billion USD) worth of military equipment to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the French Defense Ministry reported, who provided a full list of aid provided to Ukraine.

France has been supplying equipment and materials adapted to the combat conditions in which the Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged, the Defense Ministry added.

France supplied Ukraine with military equipment worth 2.615 billion euros ($2.8 billion USD), the Defense Ministry said.

The country provided an additional 1.2 billion euros ($1.3 billion) to the European Peace Facility (EPF). This constitutes support to Ukraine amounting to more than 3.8 billion euros ($4.1 billion) from Feb. 24, 2022, to Dec. 31, 2023.

"These financial efforts are accompanied by decisive actions in the field of training, as almost 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained in the armies of Poland and France," the Ministry said.

France has provided Ukraine with air defense systems, artillery, small arms, personal protective equipment, armored vehicles, drones, trucks, sea boats, aviation fuel, and other equipment.

Ukraine received six Mistral air defense systems, two Crotale-NG air defense systems, and one Samp/T anti-missile defense system.

France also handed over 250 VAB (The Véhicule de l'Avant Blindé) armored personnel carriers, 38 AMX-10 armored fighting vehicles, more than a million rounds of ammunition for small arms, 60 drones, and ten drone detection systems.

The country also supplied 30 Caesar howitzers, six TRF1 howitzers, four LRU MLRS, and 10 120 mm heavy mortars.

Some information is classified, including the number of missiles provided for the Crotale and SCALP anti-missile systems.

Deliveries meet three criteria. The first is to ensure full capability: equipment is provided along with ammunition, training, and its maintenance. The second criterion is that France's Armed Forces should not be weakened, and the third is "escalation control."

Some differences regarding aid to Ukraine have developed between French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Macron slammed Germany following the summit of European leaders in Paris on Feb. 26, mentioning the allies who, before the start of a full-scale war, offered Ukraine only "helmets and sleeping bags." His words were "not well received in Berlin", because after the episode with the helmets, Germany became the second largest donor of military aid to Ukraine after the USA, reports said.

The possibility of deploying Western troops in Ukraine is not something to be completely “ruled out”, Macron said after the same summit.

Western countries would not send their troops to Ukraine, Scholz said the next day.
