FOX4 Announces New 4PM Anchor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — WDAF-TV FOX4 welcomes Crystal Martinez as an anchor of the FOX4 News at 4PM starting March 25, 2024.

Martinez comes to FOX4 from KNWA in Fayetteville, Arkansas where she was an Emmy nominated morning anchor. She has also worked at KXII in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Crystal
graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of
North Texas.

FOX4 Vice President and General Manager Tracy Brogden Miller expressed excitement about
Martinez joining the team, stating “Crystal’s experience and personality, alongside Loren
Halifax, make her a perfect match for the show.”

“I’m excited to introduce Crystal to Kansas City and our loyal viewers. We both love yoga,
hiking, exploring local restaurants and shops and, most importantly, serving the community,”
said Loren Halifax, FOX4 veteran news anchor.

Since its launch in June 2022, FOX4 News at 4PM has been Kansas City’s most-watched news
program at that hour. The show includes segments like “Saving Smart,” featuring money-saving
deals and gas prices in the KC Metro, “Health Headlines,” a community calendar, “Top 4 at 4,”
and “Working for You” stories. As the November election approaches, the show will also
