Fox News Insists Sean Hannity Will Return From His Vacation

Fox News fired Bill O’Reilly last month while he was on vacation; the same fate won’t happen to Sean Hannity despite drawing criticism for his recent coverage of the Seth Rich Murder.

“Like the rest of the country, Sean Hannity is taking a vacation for Memorial Day weekend and will be back on Tuesday. Those who suggest otherwise are going to look foolish,” a Fox News spokesperson told TheWrap.

Last Month, O’Reilly was fired amid a series of sexual harassment allegations while he was on vacation in Italy. The former “O’Reilly Factor” host was under pressure as advertisers backed away from his program because of the accusations made against him.

Hannity lost an advertiser this week after pushing a retracted theory surrounding the death of former Democratic National Committee staffer Rich, BuzzFeed reported. So, when it was learned he would take a vacation to extend his Memorial Day weekend, many were quick to ponder if he would be fired while away, which would coincide with how the network handled O’Reilly.

Hannity took to Twitter to predict that the media would speculate about his future.

He was right, as Mediaite published a story titled, “O’Reilly 2.0? Hannity to Take Two Nights Off Following Criticism Over Seth Rich Case.”

Kimberly Guilfoyle will fill in for Hannity for the remainder of the week.
