Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Friday defended her attempt to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson, saying Democrats were “controlling” him, and lambasted Fox News for calling her an “idiot.”

In an interview with “The War Room” host Steve Bannon, the far-right Georgia Republican was asked for her reaction to Fox News reporting criticizing her after Democrats said they would block her motion to vacate Johnson from the Speakership.

“Fox News called me an idiot. That was literally their headline. They called me an idiot. But what I've done is expose what was already happening in the dark,” Greene told Bannon. “I think the beautiful thing about it is, is that Democrats have to come clean. They were controlling Mike Johnson anyway.”

Green criticized the Speaker of the House and falsely claimed he was giving Democrats “everything” they wanted, including a new FBI headquarters, funding for “full-term abortion,” and that he “paid for the trans agenda against children.”

She also criticized the Biden administration for reports that it is considering allowing refugees from the war in Gaza into the country.

“Joe Biden wants to give them a citizenship,” Greene said without evidence.
