Fox’s ‘The Empty Man’ Adds Aaron Poole

EXCLUSIVE: Canadian actor Aaron Poole has been cast in Fox’s The Empty Man, a supernatural thriller based on Eisner Award-winner Cullen Bunn’s graphic novel from Boom!Studios. David Prior has been tapped to helm and write the film, which is the latest from Fox’s first-look deal with the studio.

The pic centers on an ex-cop, plagued by the violent death of his wife and son, who battles to find a missing girl but soon discovers a sinister presence around him. Poole will play Paul, an outdoorsy adventurer who makes a strange discovery while hiking with friends.

Boom! Studios CEO and founder Ross Richie and president of development Stephen Christy will produce the project, with Adam Yoelin co-producing.

Poole’s recent film credits include Jon Cassar’s western Forsaken with Demi Moore and Kiefer Sutherland, The Scent of Rain And Lightning opposite Maggie Grace and the comedy No Stranger Than Love starring Alison Brie. He repped by Abrams Artists Agency, Primary Wave, The Gary Goddard Agency and Stone, Genow, Smelkinson, Binder & Christopher.
