Fox importing anchor pairing from Canada for nightly show on new cable sports channel

NEW YORK (AP) -- Fox is importing an anchor pairing from Canada for its new cable sports channel.

The network said Monday that Jay Onrait and Dan O'Toole will serve as the primary highlight team on its nightly news show on Fox Sports 1 that will compete against ESPN's "SportsCenter." Onrait and O'Toole have worked together on TSN's "SportsCentre" since 2005.

"Fox Sports Live" will air at 11 p.m. ET daily, starting with the channel's launch Aug. 17. Fox hopes the duo's already developed chemistry will get the show off to a strong start.
