Fourth Annual Ruck March for Veteran PTSD Awareness

(SPONSORED) — Veteran mental health is amongst our nation’s biggest crises with suicide rates reaching numbers higher than ever before due to forced isolation requirements during the COVID pandemic.

To help raise awareness and combat this increase, ConnorsK9 P.A.W.S organization has determined that as the numbers have continued to grow, so has a higher need and requirements for action. In 2024, founder, SSG Michael Connors (Ret.), will be doing just that by enduring a four-day ruck march, from Denver to Colorado Springs and back to Castle Rock covering 105 miles.

This year Loving Living Local host Nova will also be joining Connors supporting him from the Castle Rock checkpoint and continuing to the end of the march finishing at the 105 Brewery in Castle Rock on May 25.

At the completion of the four-day ruck march event, 105 West Brewing Company & ConnorsK9-P.A.W.S. will be hosting a fundraiser event to not only celebrate the ruck’s completion but also raise some money for Veterans in Castle Rock. The event will have beers, food trucks, a silent auction, and raffle items. Attendees will even get to see the presentation of two assistance dogs.

Encouragement along the route is always appreciated and Connors will post updates and timelines along the route on social media, but the most help will be going to 105 West Brewing on May 25 at noon to help benefit our nation’s heroes.

FOX21 News, Loving Living Local and our sister station FOX31 will be featuring the march from all stops throughout the four days plus Nova will be giving live updates during the march.
