The hospital said the baby boom was not over just yet. One addition is of a sweet little girl! Each newborn was given a white onesie with a green frog on it, and reads “Leap Day Baby 2024.”

Mercy Hospital says, it’s a pretty typical day for us at Mercy. The hospital delivers around 4,000 babies a year and that’s really only because we are at max capacity in our current labor and delivery unit.

When the Love Family Women’s Center opens in April, they will have the space to deliver many more, according to Mercy Hospital.

“While every baby is special, this is a fun way for us to help these families mark a unique birthday for their little ones with a keepsake they can treasure forever,” said Laura Beck, director of nursing for women and infants at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City.
