Four sent to hospital after semi-truck crash in SW Kansas

GRAY COUNTY (KSNT) – On Monday, a crash involving a 2023 Ford Super Duty and a Peterbilt semi-truck sent several individuals to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries in Neosho County.

At 2:20 p.m., a 17-year-old from Montezuma, KS, was driving the 2023 Ford Super Duty north on 2 Road. A 51-year-old man from Liberal, KS, was driving the Peterbilt east on K144. The 17-year-old failed to stop at a stop sign and the two vehicles crashed, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) crash log.

All occupants of both vehicles were taken to an area hospital for treatment of possible and serious injuries. One juvenile was in the Ford Super Duty at the time of the crash and their information was protected, according to the log.

The driver of the Peterbilt and a 19-year-old passenger in the Ford Super Duty were listed as not wearing seatbelts by the KHP.
