Four people displaced in Lansing house fire

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Four people have been displaced after a fire at a house in south Lansing, Lansing fire officials tell 6 News.

Lansing Fire crews are on scene for a house fire in the 4800 block of Hughes Rd. in south Lansing.

The crews are working on dousing hot spots.

The doors and windows have been opened to the building to vent.

There are 5 Lansing Fire Department vehicles on the scene.

Lansing Fire Department Battalion Chief Lisa Koenigsknecht tells 6 News the department was dispatched about 1:45 p.m. Sunday for a structure fire on the 4800 block of Hughes Rd.

Officials are doing a final walkthrough of the house and sweeping to see if they are completely extinguished. No one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
