Four men try to rob drug dealer in DeLand but intended victim pulls gun, injures 2 of them

Four armed men broke into a home near DeLand on Wednesday to rob a resident who previously sold them drugs, but the would-be victim pulled his own gun and fired, injuring two suspects, Volusia County deputies said.

The incident occurred at 5:45 p.m. at a home in the 900 block of Clark Avenue.

The suspects fled when the homeowner pulled out the gun. He fired 17 times with several rounds striking their vehicle, deputies said.

The two injured suspects were injured and dropped off at a hospital for treatment, the sheriff's office said.

Responding deputies detained a suspect, Jaden Hunt, 20, of Holly Hill, who was on foot in the area of the incident.

The get-away vehicle, which had bullet holes on the driver's side, was located in Daytona Beach. The driver, Benjamin Warren, 20, of Daytona Beach, was arrested, investigators said.

The two home invasion suspects injured by gunfire were Timothy Bourn, 22, of Holly Hill, and Marquis Williams, 19, of Daytona Beach, deputies said.

All the suspects were being held without bail at the Volusia County Branch Jail Thursday, each charged with home invasion robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon.
