Four dogs were found dead following a car fire in Milford earlier this week.

Fire crews were dispatched to Adams Avenue at 11:56 p.m. on Monday for a report of a car fire and found a sedan parked in the driveway of a home engulfed in flames, according to Battalion Chief Adam Hansen of the Milford Fire Department.

Crews were quickly able to put out the blaze before discovering that four dogs were dead inside the vehicle, Hansen said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Hansen said he could not provide any additional information in light of the ongoing investigation.
