Four arrested in connection to stolen cars, burglaries in Lafourche Parish

LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Four people were arrested in connection to stolen cars and burglaries in Lafourche Parish on Friday, March 22.

The Louisiana State Police announced that 21-year-old Jerome Davis, 19-year-old Lindsey Singleton, 19-year-old Jamal Lambert and 22-year-old Dendre Frelix, of New Orleans, were arrested following an investigation.

On March 12, the LSP Insurance Fraud and Auto Theft Unit New Orleans Field Office received a report from Thibodaux Police Department regarding multiple car burglaries and car thefts that took place in Lafourche Parish, near Thibodaux.

According to LSP officers, an investigation revealed that on Feb. 29, a group of suspects from New Orleans traveled to Lafourche Parish, where they burglarized multiple cars and stole two others before returning to New Orleans with the stolen cars.

Troopers were able to recover two stolen vehicles and arrest the four suspects from various locations in New Orleans East.

Davis was taken into custody as a fugitive from the Louisiana Department of Corrections for charges of Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution and Illegal Possession of Stolen Property.

Singleton was arrested on two counts of illegal possession of stolen property.

Lambert and Frelix were arrested for illegal possession of stolen property.

This is an ongoing investigation.
