(FOUNTAIN, Colo.) — A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection to the 2023 homicide of 31-year-old Christian Cook, whose body was found by a BNSF Railway employee near the train tracks in Fountain.

The victim was declared dead on the scene by first responders and was identified as Cook the following day by the El Paso County Coroner. Cook’s family sought answers following his death and pleaded with the community to come forward with any information that could identify their loved one’s killer.

“The not knowing is horrible,” said Michelle Cook, Christian’s mother, during an interview with FOX21 News in April of 2023. Now, justice is one step closer for the family.
