The Fortune Hotel aired a shock disqualification twist as Michael and Adam’s hot streak came to an end.
The pair struck gold in last night’s (May 15) episode as they were handed the ideal briefcase, with the duo banking £10k as a result.
Their good fortune continued as they won the Room Challenge in tonight’s (May 16) episode, with Adam’s expertise as a bricklayer coming in handy as they were tasked with building the tallest tower using dominos.

This gave them priority in the episode’s main challenge, which required the teams to spot letters as they drove around the bay on a speedboat, with the resulting anagram needing to be solved as they approached the cocktail bar, which was manned by host Stephen Mangan.
As reward for their earlier triumph, Michael and Adam got first pick of the boats, but the host warned that they were of varying quality – a statement that couldn’t have been any more true for Michael and Adam.
As they saw the other teams find their vessels, Michael and Adam struggled to find ‘Sun Kist’, but they soon spotted a rather rundown paddle boat tucked away in the corner, a far cry from some of the luxurious boats on offer.
The worst was yet to come, however, as Mangan revealed that the capsized vessel resulted in an automatic last place for the pair, with the theme of anagrams still present as he revealed that the name of the boat could be read as ‘It’s Sunk’.

“Why couldn’t you have told us that before?” quipped Michael as they headed back to the bar, with the pair sipping a cocktail as they watched the other teams toil in trying to find the hidden word.
Despite suggestions of ‘bedroom’ and ‘maidrum’, it was Cherish and Jae who won the task, with the pair deducing that ‘mermaid’ was the correct answer. This gave them power in the briefcase exchange, with the pair opting to give their Early Checkout pass to Dan and Claire, sending them home in the process.
