Fort Walton Beach man arrested for allegedly soliciting 13-year-old for sex

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (WKRG) — A Fort Walton Beach man was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail Wednesday after allegedly sending sexual messages to who he believed was a 13-year-old girl in October 2023, according to his arrest report.

25-year-old Caleb Shane Hollingsworth is charged with three counts of obscene communication and one count of using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.

According to Hollingsworth’s arrest report, in October 2023, he made contact through a social media app with an undercover deputy who was posing as a 13-year-old girl.

The undercover deputy and Hollingsworth began texting, which is when he allegedly asked for sexual encounters on three different occasions.

Deputies subpoenaed AT&T for subscriber information and found that Hollingsworth was the phone user, according to the report.

On April 11, Hollingsworth voluntarily went to OCSO where he admitted the phone number was his and that he remembered talking to the “13-year-old,” his arrest report said.
