Fort Moore hosts an Armor Week Open House

FORT MOORE, Ga. (WRBL) — Fort Moore’s Armor week begins Monday, April 29, but the Armor Week Open House is on Saturday, April 27.

Armor Week is a competition where the tank crews from across the Army compete to see who is best.

On Saturday, April 27, Fort Moore will be opening the Tankadrome to the public at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During this event, historic armored fighting vehicles and anti-tank weapons from 1916 will be on display. Spectators are invited to watch a live fire demonstration of by the 316 Cavalry Brigade. This live demonstration will feature Abrams Main Battle Tanks, Bradley Fighting Vehicles, and more.
