USC starting CB Jack Jones was arrested Friday morning.

Nearly three weeks ago, USC starting cornerback Jack Jones was removed from the Trojans’ roster. At the time, Jones was ruled academically ineligible. He later told the Los Angeles Times he was preparing to transfer to a junior college.

He’s now in the news again, though.

Jones was arrested Friday morning by the Santa Paula, California, police for commercial burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime. According to online court records, he was booked in the Ventura County Jail with a $20,000 bail.

Ranked the 12th-ranked player in the 2016 class on Rivals.com, Jones is a native of Long Beach, California. Last year, he led the Trojans with four interceptions and 40 recorded tackles.

Jones is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Ventura County Superior Court.
