Former school bus driver from St. Peters accused in child porn case

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – A former school bus driver from St. Peters faces federal charges in a child pornography case.

Robert W. Stillwell, 66, is accused of recording the sexual abuse of at least two minors. He was indicted in federal court Friday on two counts of production of child pornography.

The indictment accuses Stillwell of recording sexual abuse of two minor victims between Dec. 1, 2020, and Jan. 5, 2024. Sometime after that, Stilwell was arrested and booked into the St. Charles County Detention Center.

Unsettled weather continues, with rounds of strong storms possible

If convicted, Stilwell faces anywhere from 15 to 30 years in prison for each charge of production of child pornography.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, which the U.S. Department launched in 2006 as a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation. The FBI, the St. Peters Police Department and the St. Charles County Cyber Crime Task Force investigated the case
