Former Obama admin official battles to get Weinstein Company

The beleaguered Weinstein Co. may have found an unlikely white knight. Maria Contreras-Sweet, the former head of the Small Business Administration under President Obama, has partnered with some Silicon Valley investors to pony up $275 million dollars for the film and TV studio. If successful, Contreras-Sweet would be executive chairwoman of a majority-female board and rename the company.
