Former MMA Fighter Arrested for Allegedly Sexually Assaulting an Unconscious Woman

A former MMA fighter has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting an unconscious woman in Scottsdale, Arizona, last Saturday night, according to several reports.

Rodolfo Ramirez, 28, was arrested on Wednesday on two counts of kidnapping, three counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual abuse, according to Fox 10.

In documents obtained by ABC 15, the victim told police she had been drinking with a friend at a bar. At the end of the night, her friend left the victim – who was not able to walk – alone to get their car. But upon her return, the victim's friend could not find her.

The documents obtained by ABC 15 also said Ramirez picked up the unconscious woman, carried her into a parking garage and drove her to his home, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her. In surveillance footage obtained by ABC 15, Ramirez can be seen carrying a slumped-over woman over his shoulder through a parking garage. The next day, he allegedly dropped her off near her friend's dorm in Tempe, according to the documents.

When he was questioned by police, Ramirez initially denied knowing the victim, according to The Arizona Republic. Later, he reportedly changed his story and said she wasn't "pretty enough" and "not his type," according to court documents. He eventually told police that he had consensual sex with the woman multiple times, but allegedly agreed that she was too intoxicated to have been able to consent.
