LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A former treasurer for a non-profit youth sports organization in Lancaster County has been charged with stealing funds.

Kimberly Clark, 47, of Columbia, is accused of stealing over $184,000 from the Columbia Boys Athletic Association (CBAA) when she was co-treasurer, according to the charges filed by Columbia Borough Police.

In a statement posted on Facebook, CBAA wrote that they notified authorities immediately when they learned of the theft.

“While this incident is disappointing, we want to assure you that the CBAA’s core mission remains unchanged,” CBAA wrote. “Throughout this process, our regular operations and activities for the youth athletes continued uninterrupted. We have also taken proactive steps to prevent similar situations in the future, implementing new security measures. The CBAA has experienced significant growth over the past two years, and we are committed to providing even more opportunities for Columbia’s youth.”

In total, Clark is accused of stealing $184,251 from the CBAA. Police were notified about the theft on Dec. 4 just after 3 p.m., according to a news release on Friday.
