A former Kroger site in Colerain Township will see new life as a discount store.

In early 2020, Kroger announced it would close the 6401 Colerain Ave. store. The supermarket giant at the time cited years of unprofitability.

Now, a locally owned discount store is setting up shop. CRdeals announced Monday in a social media post it is opening a second location there, to operate as its flagship location. Its first store is at 11925 Commons Drive in Springdale.

CRdeals sells a variety of products brought into warehouses in bulk, and sold to customers at a discounted price. Its social media shows a range of items, like furniture, jungle gyms, pop-up tents, tools, household items and more.
