Former Elk Grove school employee arrested after sex crimes against child accusations

(FOX40.COM) — A former school employee was arrested for allegedly communicating inappropriately and touching a minor with sexual intent, according to the Elk Grove Police Department.

On Tuesday, EPD arrested David Martinez Jr., 49, after a student reported him to an Elk Grove Unified School District staff member. Martinez is a former employee of Helen Carr Castello Elementary School, and he also served the after-school program at Franklin Elementary School.

Mother, children hospitalized after potential carbon monoxide exposure

After the allegations, school district officials said they notified police and placed Martinez on administrative leave.
