Former Baton Rouge substitute teacher formally charged with molestation of a juvenile
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A former substitute teacher in Baton Rouge accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old girl has been formally charged.
According to court documents, Damien Clark, 24, was formally charged with indecent behavior with juveniles and molestation of a juvenile.
In September 2023, Clark was arrested after being accused of sending lewd messages to the juvenile including messages indicating they had sex at least once, according to arrest documents.
Former BRPD officer found guilty of malfeasance, not guilty of kidnapping
Clark denied sending messages during an interview with detectives, according to arrest documents. Clark was employed as a contracted assistant football coach and substitute teacher at Woodlawn High School.
Court documents state Clark has an arraignment scheduled with Judge Eboni Johnson Rose on April 29.
