Forest Service seeks applications for Recreation Resource Advisory Committee

The Pacific Northwest Region of the U.S. Forest Service is seeking nominations for the regional Recreation Resource Advisory Committee.

The nomination period began in March and will close on May 17.

The committee will be responsible for providing recommendations on various aspects of the recreation fee program, including day-use fees, overnight use fees and special recreation permit fees.

The 11-person body will include representatives from multiple interest areas, including winter and summer motorized and nonmotorized recreation, hunting and fishing, motorized and nonmotorized outfitters and guides, local environmental groups, state tourism officials, affected tribes and affected local government interests.
