Forecaster sees 20 percent chance of cyclone near Cape Verde

(Reuters) - A tropical wave located few hundred miles south of the Cape Verde Islands has a 20 percent chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Monday. The system is expected to move west-northwestward at about 15 miles per hour over the eastern and central tropical Atlantic this week, the Miami-based weather forecaster said.
