Food Fight New Orleans makes Metairie debut

METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — It’s going down in Metairie as local restaurants compete for various titles at the third Food Fight New Orleans festival.

According to the Food Fight New Orleans website, attendees can enjoy food and drinks from more than 40 local restaurants and 30 local spirits competing for top titles in five categories.

Food fans and judges will vote for who has the Top Traditional Dish, Top Creative Dish, Top Vegetarian Dish, Top Classic Cocktail and Top Creative Cocktail.

Featured restaurants include 4 Boyz, Apolline Restaurant, Atchafalaya Restaurant, Banh Mi Boys, Bayou Rosa Oysters, Brennan’s, Cafetomas, Casa Borrega, The Chloe, Deanasco Restaurant and Bar, Desi Vega’s Steakhouse, Doughing it Right, Dovetail Bar, Everything Spice, The Fillmore at Harrah’s New Orleans, Food Drunk, Gris-Gris, Hixon’s Bistro, Jacquel’s Catering, Lakeview Harbor, Laurel Street Bakery, Los Jefes Grill, Lufu NOLA, Maypop, Messina’s Catering and Events, MOPHO, Namaste NOLA, Nola Snow Snoballs, The Nori Guys, Observatory Eleven, Outpost 45, Peewee’s Crabcakes, Pigeon Catering and Events, Plates Restaurant and Bar, Red Fish Grill, Rosemary and Roux Catering and Event Services, Ruby Slipper, Soule Cafe, Tana, The Smoking Oyster, The Will and The Way, Union Ramen, Wishing Town Bakery Cafe and Wonderland + Sea.

In addition to voting for your favorite dish, attendees can also expect live local music, creative lounge areas, a “tent dedicated to wine tastings and local distilleries” and more.

The 21+ festival is being put on by the producers of Top Taco and benefits the PLEASE Foundation.

Food Fight New Orleans is making its Metairie debut at the Carousel at Lafreniere Park on Thursday, March 14. VIP admission starts at 6 p.m. and general admission starts at 7 p.m.
