Fond du Lac woman with Leap Day birthday gives birth to leapling son
OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – Families and hospitals across northeast Wisconsin are welcoming Leap Day babies to the world on Friday, and one Fond du Lac woman shares a unique tie with her leapling son, as both now share a Leap Day birthday.
Lisa Barkow, and her husband Andrew, celebrated the birth of their son, Cole, at 8:10 a.m. on February 29, 2024, in Oshkosh. The fascinating part? Lisa was born on a Leap Day as well.
These baby names are expected to trend in 2024 and these could go extinct
According to officials from the Aurora BayCare Medical Center, it is estimated that only about five million, or around 0.07% of the total population, have a February 29 birthday.
The chance of being born on Leap Day? One in 1,461. Those odds give Lisa and Cole the unique bond of both being leaplings.
Congratulations to the entire Barkow family!
