The Foaster can charge two iPhones at once...

...just like a toaster can toast two slices of bread at once

We've seen some good ideas pop up on Kickstarter; but this one gave us an extra warm and toasty feeling.

It's called the Foaster, and it’s a dual iPhone charger that looks like a toaster. The Foaster, which is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, wants to be the iPhone charger that you can keep in your kitchen (It certainly blends in). In a single case, it also circumvents the messy cord clutter that comes from charging more that one phone on your kitchen counter.

The idea is that charging your iPhone and a friend’s iPhone together should be as simple as placing two pieces of bread in a toaster. The Foaster is compatible with any Lightning port-equipped iPhone (iPhone 5, 5s and 5c) and props your device up just high enough to make visible any incoming notifications while charging. And, unlike most other iPhone charging docks, the Foaster is compatible with “standard-sized” cases (meaning: not Otterbox or this $653 bulletproof case).

If you’re one of the first 300 to pledge toward the project, you can get a Foaster in your choice of color for $79 ($10 off the expected retail price) if and when manufacturing begins; if you wait for the Foaster's funding to get a little more well-done, you'll pay $89. The project still has 24 days to reach its $40,000 goal, but if you want your Foaster shipped in the first run next March, you'd better quit loafing around and pledge now.

If you can't decide, perhaps the Foaster's Kickstarter video below might sway you one way or the other:
