FMC Technologies receives $1.2B equipment order

FMC Technologies receives $1.2 billion equipment order for Nigeria offshore field from Total

FMC Technologies Inc., which provides equipment and services to energy companies, said Tuesday that it received a $1.2 billion order from a Nigerian subsidiary of French oil and gas company Total SA.

The Houston-based company expects to deliver the equipment starting in 2015. It will be used at the Egina oil field off the coast of Nigeria.

FMC Technologies posted revenue of $6.2 billion last year.

Shares of FMC Technologies rose 71 cents, or 1.3 percent, to $55.81 in morning trading Tuesday.
