Florissant man charged for shooting victim after car accident argument

ST. LOUIS COUNTY — Joshua Halley from Florissant, Missouri, faces assault charges after allegedly shooting someone involved in a car accident with him. The incident occurred at Dunn Road. According to the probable cause statement, Halley showed a firearm and threatened the victim following the crash.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Halley on March 14, 2024, with assault and shooting the victim. He is currently held on a $75,000 cash-only bond.

The argument took place on February 27, 2024, at 11 a.m., shortly after the accident on Dunn Road. Halley and the victim started an argument, during which Halley repeatedly showed his gun.

As the argument continued, the victim attempted to leave the scene and Halley fired his gun multiple times at them as they drove away.

The victim had a gunshot wound to the arm during the incident. Halley confessed to shooting at the victim and surrendered his weapon to police. Investigators recovered several shell casings from the scene as evidence.
