This is either going to work out really well or really poorly for Florida State president John Thrasher.

Thrasher issued some t(h)rash talk towards Alabama on Friday. The Seminoles and Crimson Tide, two of the country’s top teams, meet Sept. 2 in the marquee game of college football’s opening weekend.

Oh boy. If Alabama beats Florida State — the Tide are favored — Thrasher’s social media channels are going to be inundated with Alabama fans for the rest of eternity. If FSU wins, well, he gets to claim that he was right. But that upside is far greater than the mocking and trolling downside. Good luck, John. You’re going to need it.
